FRUTINA SWIM CENTRE

The Frutina Swim Centre is a specialized and unique facility providing a carefully controlled environment for the sole purpose of swimming development. The pool area is quiet and warm so adults and children alike can relax, focus and be taught without the usual distractions of a large and noisy public pool. There are showers, male and female changing rooms and lockers in the pool area with an adjacent reception/viewing area to observe the lessons.

It is the only centre in the country to be equipped with ‘flow pools’ (imported from the USA) and a poolside monitor allowing instant playback of under water footage of your swimming.

Presently, there is a standard (4.5m x 2.5m x 1m deep) and a dual size model They feature a unique adjustable current which allows users to swim ‘on the spot’ (similar to a runner’s treadmill) whilst being able to observe themselves in the positioned floor and ceiling mirrors.

The pool temperatures are a constant 31 degrees C. and the use of ionizing/oxidising purifiers helps minimise the amounts of chlorine needed. This, combined with the centre’s hygiene code where all users wear caps and shower before swimming helps maintain good, clear water quality.
